Director of Business Development

As a Team Lead for our Business Development Associates (which we call Mobile Application Consultants), you will be a key member of the revenue team and our future success. You will be responsible for recruiting, developing & coaching a high-velocity team that’s responsible for initial engagement with customers and qualifying them on their future value potential. You will work closely with our New Business Sales (which we call Senior Mobile Application Consultants) team, passing highly qualified leads for conversion to paying accounts.

We’re looking for someone who will covet the adrenaline of a venture-backed business that is experiencing hyper revenue growth. You will have a laser focus on metrics & coaching, with a proven track record of exceeding goals in a Business Development function, ideally as a team lead.

 

Your Most Important Initiatives:

  • Increase Pipeline Generation
  • Hold the team accountable for their performance metrics while properly maintaining accurate records in the CRM system to track all sales activity
  • Display key metrics in the sales area to track team and individual achievement through all stages of funnel (lead flow, activity performance, etc)
  • Build and refine sales playbook and incorporate into ongoing sales training
  • Build & Retain High Performing Team
  • Recruit, on-board, develop and motivate a team of MACs
  • Continue a fun, competitive, high energy environment people love coming to
  • Optimize Messaging & Cadence
  • Lower initial response times & increase # of touches per lead
  • Identify and implement the “ideal” call and email cadence with ongoing A/B testing to continually improve results
  • Ownership of Systems & Tools
  • Continue leveraging & evaluating our tech stack of tools like Velocifiy, Salesloft, Sales Navigator, etc.
  • Work with internal resources to test new technologies that can increase performance
  • Inbound Email Lead Management
  • Implement inbound email tracking solution to reduce non-selling time
  • Ability to track close rates by inbound lead source, open rates, close rates and response times and optimize inbound email follow up cadence accordingly
  • Live Chat
  • Incorporate Live Chat as a strategic tool as part of a holistic high velocity selling model with automated reporting on results
  • Success Metrics for Role:
  • Consistently hit team targets for pipeline creation
  • Get 75% of team above individual targets each month
  • Increase conversion rate from Connect to Scheduled Demo
  • Increase hold rate of demo scheduled to demo completed
  • Increase dial / lead rate

What You Bring

Successful background in Business Development function and preferably leading a team for 1+ years

Ideally worked for a SaaS and/or mobile software company in a startup environment

A data & metrics-driven approach to making decisions and measuring areas for performance improvement

Ability to hire, develop and retain great Sales talent

Ability to keep a millennial workforce motivated, engaged and accountable

Competency using Salesforce.com, and experience using other Sales enablement tools like Velocify, SalesLoft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo. etc.

Passionate about Sales & Business Development

Highly effective communication skills

Positive attitude and a desire to go above & beyond every day
