Channel Business Development Specialist

Why is this role important?

As a Channel Engagement/Business Development Specialist at GoCanvas, you will play a critical role in driving revenue through third-party partnerships. You will be working with Channel Telecom Partners to evangelize the GoCanvas brand and empower partners to sell GoCanvas. This role will host lunch & learns, webinars, sales calls, trade shows, etc. and will be required to travel to in-person meetings to develop deep relationships out in the field.

This role requires 2 years experience in a business development/sales role, which helped cultivate relationships and earn business. This person will have a proven track record of building out relationships that cultivated leads/demos for the sales team. This position is for someone with extraordinary drive with an entrepreneurial mindset who’s looking to join a rapidly changing, high growth SaaS company.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with Channel Partners to drive business
  • Hosting webinars, lunch & learns, sales calls, etc.
  • Driving leads to the sales team that convert into revenue
  • Cultivating relationships with Channel Partners that drive multiple leads and ensure that GoCanvas is top of their sales toolset
  • Build a strong presence in key vertical markets, speaking with an authentic voice that develops and maintains a network of industry contacts and a rich pipeline of prospects
  • Favorably position GoCanvas by demonstrating technical knowledge and business expertise with the customer to match our solutions to their operational needs
  • Differentiate GoCanvas from competitors using creativity and ingenuity
  • Active contribution to the Channel Sales Team achieving its revenue goals
  • Travel ~40% of the time

 

About you:

  • 2+ years of experience in a business development role and/or sales
  • Previous experience in a startup is a plus and better yet in a SaaS and/or mobile software company is a huge plus
  • A genuine passion for helping businesses join the mobile-first world
  • Highly effective communication skills
  • Energized and excited to work within a fast growing start-up in an explosive industry
  • The desire to go above and beyond and bite off more than you can chew
  • Someone who is great to work with every day
  • Technical aptitude to develop a comprehensive understanding of our mobile app platform

  • Increase in number of quality, inbound leads from partners

  • Reduction in onboarding/ramp time for partners
