Position overview:
As the Director of Business Development you will own the pipeline creation engine supporting new logo growth across regions and brands. You will lead inbound and outbound business development, strategic and industry partnership motions, and the people and systems that turn market opportunity into qualified pipeline. You are responsible for pipeline volume, quality, conversion, productivity, and the development of future sales talent. You will build a modern, data-driven and AIforward organization that uses our technology stack, automation and practical AI agents to create leverage without sacrificing quality or customer experience. You will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, RevOps, Analytics and Product to identify, test and scale the highest-return growth motions.

Your Most Important Initiatives:
  • Achieve qualified pipeline, meeting, conversion and sourced ARR targets across the Business Development organization
  • Own capacity planning, coverage and productivity for inbound and outbound BDR teams across regions and segments
  • Build, test and scale outbound plays by ICP, vertical, territory, use case and account profile; stop low-return motions quickly
  • Partner with Marketing on inbound conversion, campaigns, events, account-based programs and lead follow-up standards
  • Develop strategic, enterprise and industry partnerships that can produce repeatable customer acquisition and pipeline; stand up dedicated BDR pods around high-value partners when justified
  • Create clear service levels with Sales for lead acceptance, opportunity quality and follow-up, and use conversion data to continuously improve handoffs
  • Own the AI and automation roadmap for Business Development, including practical agents/workflows for account research, prioritization, personalization, sequencing, call preparation, follow-up, coaching and data hygiene
  • Drive adoption and effective use of Salesforce, Salesloft, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other approved revenue tools; eliminate redundant manual work where technology can do it better
  • Work with RevOps and Analytics to maintain dashboards, warning lights and weekly funnel views by source, region, segment, manager and rep
  • Run regular performance reviews focused on outcomes, conversion and coaching actions rather than activity for activity's sake  Recruit, onboard, certify and develop Business Development talent; create a strong internal bench and clear progression into sales roles
  • Coach managers and team leads to run effective 1:1s, call reviews, pipeline reviews and performance improvement plans
  • Maintain high standards for data quality, process compliance and ethical use of AI-generated content and automation
  • Monitor market, competitor and buyer changes and proactively adjust targeting, messaging and channel strategy
  • Present results, insights, experiments, risks and resource asks to the Chief Sales Officer and leadership team
  • Condense and synthesize critical information so successful plays, learnings and systems can be reused across the organization

What You Bring:
  • 5-10 years of experience in SaaS sales, business development, demand generation or a related high-growth environment, including meaningful people leadership experience
  • Proven success building and scaling inbound and outbound pipeline generation teams against clear pipeline and ARR goals
  • Experience managing managers or team leads, hiring strong talent, developing future sellers, and holding teams accountable to performance standards
  • Strong command of funnel economics: capacity, activity, meetings, accepted opportunities, conversion rates, pipeline creation and sourced revenue
  • Experience designing and launching new outbound, vertical, account-based or territory plays rather than only operating an existing motion
  • Experience building strategic, industry, association or technology partnerships that create repeatable pipeline and customer acquisition
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, RevOps, Analytics and Product to improve lead flow, targeting, messaging and conversion
  • AI-forward and automation-minded: practical experience using generative AI, workflow automation and agents to improve prospecting, research, prioritization, personalization, coaching or operational efficiency
  • Comfortable building simple AI agents and automated workflows independently using no-code/low-code tools, integrations and structured prompts; able to turn successful experiments into repeatable team processes
  • Strong working knowledge of modern revenue technology such as Salesforce, Salesloft, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and enrichment/automation tools
  • Experience operating in a fast-changing, multi-region or multi-brand environment is an asset

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 05/31/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
